Hiring Automotive Service Technicians



Service Technician (Romano Chrysler Jeep)

At Romano Chrysler Jeep, we have a fantastic opportunity for the right person. We have an immediate opening for an experienced service technician with Chrysler, Jeep, or Dodge experience. This position will be supported by a strong management team, training, in-shop oversight, and plenty of shop space! No weekends or nights, and you will be paid a premium rate! Auto Technician Qualifications/experience:
  • BOCES certificate or MS in automotive technology
  • At least 1 year experience working as a Automotive Tech
  • Valid NYS Driver's license is required
  • NYS inspectors' license is required
Job responsibilities include:
  • Diagnose cause of any vehicle malfunction and perform repair
  • Efficiently perform work as specified on repair orders to factory and dealership standards
  • Document all work performed
  • Communicate with Parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Inspect vehicles to determine if any additional safety or service repairs need to be made
  • Communicate with Service Director and Advisors regarding status of repairs or additional required repairs
  • Road test customer vehicles as needed
  • Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean, undamaged, and with personal convenience, comfort, and audio settings intact.
  • Attend additional Stellantis Certification classes
  • Maintain cleanliness of shop area and service bay
